Course Description

This course is the third semester of calculus.

Textbook

The textbook for the course is "Calculus, Fourth Custom Edition", Strauss, Bradley, Smith

Grading Policy

There will be 3 exams given in class. Each exam counts as one score. A missed exam gives a score of zero and there are no makeup exams --- although, under extreme (and well documented) circumstances, it may be possible to make arrangements to take a test in advance.

There will be approximately 12 online homework assignments using WebWork. The homework will count as 1 score.

There will be approximately 10 quizzes given randomly in class. The average of the quiz scores will count as 1 score.

The final exam will count for 2 more scores. This final is a comprehensive final.

After the final you will have a total of 7 scores. Your final grade for the course will be determined by the average of your best 5 of these 7 scores.

The following PDF file contains a list of problems from each of the sections to be covered in the class.
Exam problems will be of these problem types. In order to perform well on th exams and quizzes you need to be able to do these type of problems. There are enough problems listed to make sure you can grasp the material. Unlike the online homework problems you will not be given a grade for working these problems BUT working as many as you can will certainly help to ensure a good grade in the class. If you do not do well on quizzes and test, my first question will be "Did you work the supplemental assignments"
