Student Learning Outcomes:

Math 3350 is intended to present the requisite mathematics for engineering courses in these disciplines in a timely manner. The students will understand the concept of differential equations, their solutions and applications to physical sciences and engineering. In particular the students will learn to recognize a differential equation and its solution,

Students become proficient in techniques of integration and the use of integration to solve real world problems.  They also understand the basic properties of convergent series and sequences.  In particular, the students will:

In short, the student should master the material covered in the assigned chapters.

The assessment of the student’s progress will include some or all of the following:

  1. three exams during the semester
  2. a comprehensive final given at the conclusion of the course
  3. graded homework and assignments
  4. in-class discussion of homework problems (or problems from the text similar to the assigned problems)
