Required Book

CALCULUS, 5th Edition by Strauss, Bradley, and Smith

I also highly recommend the Student Mathematics Handbook and Intergral Table and the Student Survival Guide and Solutions Manual that come with with the Strauss book.

Calculators
No special calculator is required for this course. A standard calculator will be handy on homework. And you may find a graphing calculator useful as well. However, no calculators of any kind will be allow during quizzes, in-class exams, or the final exam.

• 12/4/2010:
  • There is one last WebWork assignment, WW09. I made it a little shorter and it is due by 11:59p.m. Wednesday 12/8/2010 (the last day of classes).
  • Final Exam Information:
    • Our final exam is Tuesday 12/14/2010 from 10:30 to 1:00. It will take place in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Building (ELECE), Room 101. Please be sure to check a campus map well ahead of time if you haven't been there before.
    • Here is a study guide of suggested problems to review. There are too many to write solutions for. Please try the problems and let me know if you have questions or if you want to try any of them in class Monday or Wednesday.
    • You can also purchase previous final exams from the student math clubs. These packets contain two previous final exams from 1351 with worked solutions. They cost $9 (you might get a blue book with that). There are students selling the finals and solutions in the Math Building lobby. These are another excellent way to study!
