Please make the following information known to students
in 5xxx- and  4xxx-courses , and honors courses at lower
levels---also to any undergraduates you might have in
8xxx-level courses:

1. The North Central Team Competition will be held on
Saturday Nov 11.

2. The Putnam Competition wil be held on Saturday
December 2.

3. Both contests are for undergraduates regardless of major, including high school students taking courses here.

4. Prof. Fristedt, VinH 252, can give further information.

5. First two practices (and information meetings) in VinH 203b:
 W Sep 13, 4:30-6:00
 M Sep 18, 4:30-6:00

6. Practices are optional and informal, leaving and arriving as desired, However, Prof. Fristedt  should be told this month of any possible interest in
entering one or both of the two contests.

7. Problems from previous competitions are posted outside
of VinH 107.
