Prerequisite: C in MATH 1350 or 1550 or 7 on MPE or C in 1321 with 5 on MPE or 660 on SATM or 29 on ACTM.
Text: Calculus, 5th edition, by Strauss, Bradley, and Smith; published by Pearson.
Syllabus: Students must read the syllabus carefully.
Grading and examination policies
Homework will be assigned weekly and will count for 25% of the grade. The lowest homework score will be dropped.
There will be three midterm exams in class, each will count for 15% of the grade. The final exam will count for 30% of the grade.
All in-class exams are closed-book.
No make-up exams are given unless legitimate documents for excuses are presented to the instructor at least a week in advance.
Grading Scale: A: 90%-100%, B: 80%-89%, C: 70%-79%, D: 60%-69%, F: below 60%

The Final Exam will cover everything except for 4.7, 5.6, 5.8, 5.9
- You must buy a *** Blue Book **** for the exam and must turn it in to the instructor by Wed. Dec 8. Your Blue Book must have your name, course number and section (M1351-026), instructor's name (Luan Hoang). You can hand in in class or put it in my mail box (Department Office M201). Blue books can be purchased in bookstores.
- NO CALCULATORS in the Final. You are expected to know sin(pi/3), cos(pi/6), ....
- You must bring your TTU Student ID card with you to the exam room.
+ You should obtain previous finals for practice. They are sold with full solutions by SIAM and MAA on the first floor of the math building from 8:30am - 4:30pm on the following dates: Thursday, December 3 / Friday, December 4 / Monday, December 7 / Tuesday, December 8 / Wednesday, December 9.
+ There will be two Review Lectures on Thurs Dec 3 and Tues Dec 8.
