Mark W. Ellis is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Secondary Education at California State University, Fullerton where he is directs the middle school mathematics credential program and teaches courses in mathematics teaching and research in mathematics education.  His professional interests include issues of equity in mathematics education and the preparation of teachers of mathematics.

 

José N. Contreras is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at The University of Southern Mississippi where he teaches mathematics courses for both elementary and secondary mathematics prospective teachers. He is interested in integrating problem posing, problem solving, conjecture making, technology, and realistic mathematics education in teaching and teacher education.

 

Armando M. Martínez-Cruz is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at California State University, Fullerton.  His professional interests include solving and posing problems especially within technology environments, and nurturing teachers' disposition in these mathematical processes.
