Margaret
M. Flores, Ph.D.� is

preparation and effective instruction in the areas of mathematics and reading for
students with learning and behavior disabilities.
DaShaunda
Patterson, Ph.D. is an assistant professor in the Department of Special
Education, Rehabilitation, Counseling at Auburn
University. Her current research includes evaluating parents� perceptions of
their child�s disability and levels of satisfaction with service providers;
school-wide positive behavior supports; and writing strategies for students
with behavior disorders.
Margaret E. Shippen, Ph.D. is an
associate professor in the Department of Special Education,
Rehabilitation, Counseling at Auburn University. Her
research interests include effective literacy instruction for underrepresented
groups such as individuals with disabilities and individuals who are
incarcerated.
Vanessa

with elementary children with disabilities. Her research interests include
mathematics instruction for young children with disabilities.

preparation and collaboration between general and special education teachers.
