Robert
F. Cunningham is a professor in the Mathematics & Statistics Department at
The College of New Jersey, where he teachers mathematics content and methods
courses.� He holds an Ed.D. from Temple
University in Secondary Mathematics Education, a M.A. from Villanova University
in Mathematics, and a B.A. from LaSalle University in Mathematics. His research
interests include the teaching and learning of elementary and secondary
mathematics.�����

Allison
Roberts earned a B.A. in Mathematics with a concentration in Secondary
Education from The College of New Jersey. She has made presentations at
professional conferences and authored this paper as an undergraduate.� She currently teaches algebra and geometry at
Westfield High School in New Jersey.� Her
research interests include the teaching and learning of mathematics. �
