Crystal Kalinec-Craig is an assistant professor in the Interdisciplinary Learning and Teaching Department at the University of Texas at San Antonio. She examines issues of (in)equity in mathematics teacher education, primarily in K-8 settings. Kalinec-Craig also studies how pre-service teachers adopt democratic commitments to children's rights as learners.

 

Priya V. Prasad is an assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Texas at San Antonio. She studies the development of teacher knowledge for preservice and inservice teachers, as well as for mathematics teacher educators.

 

Carey B. Walls is the associate director for the GE2MS/ UTeachSA STEM teacher preparation programs at The University of Texas at San Antonio. She teaches pedagogy courses to STEM majors pursuing secondary teaching certification. She studies the role of standards in the planning and implementation of project-based instruction in math and science classrooms. Raquel Vallines Mira is a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Texas at San Antonio. She teaches mathematics content courses for preservice elementary teachers.

 

Vallines Mira is interested in the curricular development of such courses, as well as teacher educators' decision making in the process and how it affects the development of their knowledge for teaching teachers.
