Quantum mechanics and non-abelian theta functions

I will describe how to extend the approach of A. Weil's to the theory of classical theta functions to non-abelian theta functions that arise in Chern-Simons theory. Most of the talk will be an exposition of the case when the gauge group is S¹. This is joint work with Razvan Gelca.
