The following animation depicts circle packing approximations to several conformal welding curves.  The identification maps in each case were square-roots of two-fold blaschke products with one root at 0 and the other moving along the positive imaginary axis toward the boundary of the unit disk.    The individual images are available here, along with the underlying triangulations.
