Consider the data in the sets 000618.txt and 000730.txt. The data set 000618.txt is from entering freshmen who came to the first freshman orientation for 2002 and the data set 000730.txt is from entering freshman who came to the last freshman orientation for 2002. There is a "folklore" tradition which suggests that as the summer orientations progress the "quality" of the students coming to the orientations drops, i.e., the "better" students register earlier or alternately the students who register earlier are typically better than the students who register later.
