Background: I received a Ph.D. in Statistics from the Department of Statistics at Florida State University in 2013. I received my B.S. and M.S. from School of Electrical Engineering & Automation at Harbin Institute of Technology, China in 2006 and 2008 respectively.

Research Interests: My current research focuses on developing statistical tools for the analysis of complex data structures that arise from applications in computer vision, medical imaging and biometrics. I am developing statistical models for registration and subsequent analysis of functional and shape data as well as trajectories on manifolds based on Riemannian geometric principles. Techniques from geometry, statistics, and computer science are utilized to develop algorithms and tools that can help practitioners derive much needed insight from these data.
