Service Learning
The department also operates a service-learning program, which involves approximately 20 undergraduate students per semester who volunteer at local schools. These undergraduates provide free tutoring, offer enrichment activities and make special presentations to middle school students. The program is intended to provide a service to the school students while concurrently enhancing the skills of the participating college students, who receive class credit for their work.
