A Ph.D. in mathematics, applied mathematics, biomathematics, statistics, or a related area, at the time of appointment, is required. A demonstrated record of peer reviewed publication is expected, as well as a strong potential for external funding.

Research areas of special interest include scientific computing, interdisciplinary mathematical research, energy and environmental studies/alternative energies, bioscience (in particular, cancer research, obesity, neuroscience, nutritional science, and epidemiology), financial and actuarial mathematics, cybersecurity/cybermathematics, quantum computing, cryptology, image analysis and computer assisted visualization.

Candidates should apply at http://www.texastech.edu/careers/ using Computational mathematics — requisition #11049BR, by December 10, 2017.
